Dr Carlos Rodrigo Gonzalo de Liria has been appointed new president of Amics de Can Ruti

Dr Rodrigo will lead the sponsorship program at the Can Ruti Campus with the goal of boosting support for research and medical assistance.

On 3 April, the Monitoring Committee of Amics de Can Ruti approved the appointment of Dr Carlos Rodrigo Gonzalo de Liria, clinical director of Paediatrics at Germans Trias Hospital, as the new president of Amics de Can Ruti.

Continuing the work of his predecessor, Dr Manel Puig Domingo, Dr Rodrigo will lead the sponsorship program of the Campus with the aim of strengthening the work that Amics de Can Ruti has been doing since 2017.

"It is an honour for me to have been chosen for this position at Amics de Can Ruti. It is an opportunity to expand the visibility of Amics de Can Ruti across the region and its significance for the Can Ruti Campus. Every bit of help, no matter how small, allows us to go further, continue our research, support young researchers through scholarships, improve the well-being of our patients and their families, and much more", states Dr Carlos Rodrigo.

In addition to the appointment, the Monitoring Committee also took the opportunity to present the strategic plan of the entity for the coming years.
